Dr Sarah Rogers has been the Instrument Responsible for Sans2d at ISIS-STFC, since May 2010 and is the ISIS SANS Group Leader. She has been involved in multiple technique and sample environment development projects and designed and implemented the first Time of Flight (ToF) GISANS measurements at ISIS.

She is currently serving on several beamline committees including the Biology beamline committee at MLZ and College 9 at the ILL and so has a clear view of the current and future scientific and technical requirements of neutron users in both the biology and soft matter arenas. She is also a UK member of the ILL Scientific Council. Her expertise will allow her to advise on the conceptual and technical design of the proposed instrument and also on the software requirements (control, reduction and analysis) for such an instrument.
